BIM services · Scan to BIM

Point clouds turned into models you can build from.

Registered laser scan and photogrammetry data converted into an accurate, tolerance-aware model of existing conditions.

Convert registered point cloud data into an as-built model at an agreed tolerance and level of detail.

What you receive

Deliverables, stated before we start.

Existing-condition work fails when tolerance is left unstated. We agree the deviation band and the level of detail before modelling starts, then report against it.

Getting started

What we need from you.

Scope gaps are cheaper to resolve before modelling than after. These are the inputs that set the programme and the price.

Input 01

Registered scan data (RCP/RCS, E57 or vendor format)

Input 02

Survey control points and the site datum

Input 03

Target tolerance and LOD/LOI expectation

Input 04

Any existing drawings available for cross-reference

FAQ

Scan to BIM — common questions.

What scan formats can you work from?

Registered RCP/RCS, E57 and the common vendor formats from Leica, FARO and Trimble. If the scans are unregistered we can register them first, or work from your surveyor's registered output.

What accuracy should I expect?

Accuracy is bounded by the survey, not by the modelling. We agree a deviation band up front — commonly 10-25mm on structure and 25-50mm on services — and issue a deviation report showing where the model sits against the cloud.

Do you model everything the scanner captured?

No, and modelling everything is usually waste. We model to the level of detail the downstream use needs, and list what was deliberately excluded so nobody assumes coverage that is not there.
