What you receive

Deliverables, stated before we start.

Steel detailing is judged in the shop and on the erection floor. Output is built around the fabricator's machinery, marking convention and delivery sequence.

Getting started

What we need from you.

Scope gaps are cheaper to resolve before modelling than after. These are the inputs that set the programme and the price.

Engineer's design drawings and connection design or specification

Input 02

Fabricator's shop standards, machine capability and marking convention

Input 03

Erection sequence and delivery zoning

Input 04

Applicable code and detailing standard (AISC, BS EN, IS)

FAQ

Steel detailing — common questions.

Do you design the connections?

We detail to a connection design provided by, or approved by, the engineer of record. Where you need connection design itself, that is a separate engineering appointment.

Which machine file formats do you issue?

NC1/DSTV as standard, and other formats where the fabricator's equipment requires them. We confirm machine capability before the first issue.

Can you work to our fabricator's shop standard?

Yes. Shop standards drive drawing layout, marking and tolerances, so we set them up before detailing rather than reformatting afterwards.
