BIM services · Structural BIM modeling

Structural models that carry the detail.

Concrete, steel and composite frames modelled for coordination, quantity and downstream fabrication rather than for images.

Revit and Tekla structural models with GA drawings, framing plans and coordinated penetrations.

What you receive

Deliverables, stated before we start.

Structural models earn their cost downstream — in penetration coordination, in quantities and in fabrication. We model with those uses in mind rather than stopping at the general arrangement.

Getting started

What we need from you.

Scope gaps are cheaper to resolve before modelling than after. These are the inputs that set the programme and the price.

Input 01

Engineer's design drawings, calculations or analysis model

Input 02

Grid, level and shared coordinate definition

Input 03

Material grades, member sizing and connection design basis

Input 04

Architectural and MEP models for interface coordination

FAQ

Structural BIM modeling — common questions.

Do you take responsibility for the structural design?

No. We model and detail to the engineer of record's design and drawings. Design responsibility stays with the appointed engineer.

Revit or Tekla?

Revit where coordination and documentation dominate; Tekla where fabrication output governs. Both, linked, on projects that need each.

Can you model from an analysis model?

Yes, though analysis models rarely carry constructable geometry. We treat them as a source for member sizing and layout, not as the physical model.
